The TowneBank Shamrock 8K course is flat and fast, making it the perfect place for a first race, a PR (personal record), and a fun experience. Participants will enjoy spectators and entertainment along the course as well as a festive finish line celebration.

Course Detail
Expect thousands of spectators to cheer you on throughout this scenic course in the heart of the Virginia Beach resort area. The TowneBank Shamrock 8K finishes on the world famous Virginia Beach Boardwalk, just past the majestic figure of King Neptune, and with the beautiful Atlantic Ocean as a backdrop. A Shamrockin’ post-race party on the beach awaits all finishers and guests.
COURSE SUPPORT
- Water Stops | approximately every 1.5 miles on the course
- Gatorade | Endurance Formula in Lemon-Lime available at every water stop
- Port-a-Potties | Start/Finish Line and adjacent to every water stop

- 7:30 AM at 30th Street and Pacific Avenue
- Minimum Age: 5
- It’s recommended for children under the age of 10 to have a registered parent on course
- Corrals 1 & 2 will require time verification
