2015 Shamrock Sports and Fitness Expo

Registration
The Shamrock Sports and Fitness Expo is one of the largest on the East coast! This two-day event will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with runners, walkers and sports enthusiasts of all types. The vendors at the Expo will offer a wide variety of equipment, apparel, footwear and accessories for the whole family. Our Expo has a great reputation for having an extensive selection of merchandise at great prices as well as official Yuengling Shamrock Marathon Weekend gear. The Shamrock Sports and Fitness Expo is FREE and open to everyone.

Your goody bag items (except for your shirt, race number/timing chip) are available online in an effort by the Yuengling Shamrock Marathon and our sponsors to reduce waste and continue our green initiatives.

Packet Pick Up & Expo Information

When:
Packet Pick Up
Friday, March 20th, 2015 12 pm – 9pm
Saturday, March 21st, 2015 10am – 5pm.

Virginia Beach Convention Center
1000 19th Street
Virginia Beach, VA 23451

Directions:
From the west: Take I-264 E toward Virginia Beach. Take Exit #22, Birdneck Rd. Turn right at the bottom of the exit ramp. Get in the left lane ASAP and turn left at 19th street. The Virginia Beach Convention Center will be on your left in three-tenths of a mile.

From the Oceanfront: Take Atlantic or Pacific to 19th Street and turn west (away from the oceanfront). The Convention Center will be on your right in eight-tenths of a mile.

You can have someone else pick up you packet for you as long as they have a copy of your photo ID and a letter signed by you providing permission for that person to pick up your packet.  Click here for a sample permission form.  If you are picking up race numbers for others, you must have your ID, a note from the person you are picking up for authorizing you to pick up their packet and a copy of their ID – NO EXCEPTIONS.  You may pick up a family member’s race packet as long as your last name is the same and you have your ID.

3pm – Yuengling – A Walk through the History of America’s Oldest Brewery. Q&A with Jennifer Yuengling

4pm – Smart Snacking for Athletes and Families.  Shaye Arluk, MS, RD, HFI, McDonald’s Nutritional Consultant

5pm – The Joy of Running; Lessons, Wisdom and Insights from Running Over 1,200 Races World Wide.  Bart Yasso, Runner’s World Chief Running Officer

6pm – Race Director’s Insiders Info – suggestions, tips and course insight from your Race Directors, Jerry and Amy Frostick

2pm – After the Race, Injury Prevention and Recovery.  Ernesto Luciano-Perez, MD, Virginia Orthopaedic and Spine Specialists, Medical Director, Bon Secours Sports Medicine

After best efforts to complete the race, how do we best recover in preparation for the next race.  Proper rest, stretching program, nutrition will help us bounce back and prepare us for the next event.
