Going Green

The Yuengling Shamrock Marathon has made several changes to the ways it does business to become recognized as a Green Event.  What better race to become Green other than a race over St. Patrick's Day Weekend. 

What we have done to become more 'Green Friendly'

• Distribute reusable cloth goody bags for all races
• We recycle all water bottles at the finish line
• Donate all unwanted finish line food to a local Food Bank
• Offer on-line registration only to become 'paperless'
• Old shoes donation program set up at the expo for Soles 4 Souls
• Nature's Path Organic Granola Bars part of the finish line food
• Shamrock's Volunteer Committee maintains clean up of part of the course, through the Adopt A Highway Program
